The use temperature of 304 stainless steel wire mesh is below 800 °C, and the service temperature of 316 stainless steel wire mesh is below 1000 °C.

1. The hardness of stainless steel 316 and 304 is almost indistinguishable, but the corrosion resistance of 316 is better than 304.
 
2. 316 is a type of molybdenum containing stainless steel. 316 stainless steel also has good chloride attack properties when the concentration of sulfuric acid is below 15% and above 85% under high temperature conditions. In the range of 800-1575 degrees, it is preferable not to continuously apply 316 stainless steel wire mesh, but when 316 stainless steel wire mesh is continuously used outside this temperature range, the stainless steel has good heat resistance. 316L stainless steel wire mesh has better carbide precipitation resistance than 316 stainless steel wire mesh and can be used in the above temperature range.
